The Instituto Cervantes Manchester and The Iberian and Latin American Music Society present Ahmed Dickinson and the Guitar World of Maria Camahort by Cuban guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cardenás, one of the finest performers of the Cuban classical guitar school.

 

A sophisticated virtuoso, the Havana-born Dickinson Cardenás has performed at prestigious venues across the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Barbican, as well as live on BBC Radio 3 and BBC London, and at numerous international festivals.

This concert is part of the Guitarrísimo series, a concert programme organised by the Instituto Cervantes with the aim of highlighting the virtuosity of guitarists, showcasing the richness and diversity of musical styles present in Spain and Latin America.

Live at Lunchtime is a series of free concerts, taking place on various Fridays throughout May to September. Doors open at 12.30pm, with each 45-minute performance starting promptly at 12.45pm, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy some musical entertainment during the space of your lunch break!
