Greater Manchester Economic Recovery and Support for African Businesses

Tuesday 2 November 2021

The role and strategy of Greater Manchester Combined Authority to accelerate economic recovery and support African owned businesses

The Covid‑19 and the containment measures have had a significant impact on the Greater Manchester (GM) economy and the business communities. High street business activities, trading and investment has fallen sharply since the beginning of 2020 and unemployment has risen markedly. The unprecedented situation means that the outlook for the UK and Greater Manchester regional economy is unusually uncertain. Sustainable recovery and bouncing back depend critically on the evolution of the pandemic, how the Government, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Manchester Business Support Stakeholders, households and regional businesses respond to it.

Join the virtual AfBC Leaders Forum discussion webinar on “The role and strategies of Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to accelerate economic recovery and support for African owned businesses in the region to enhance economic participation and contribution” on Tuesday, 02 November 2021 between 15:30 – 17:00 pm.
