Come and join other families to celebrate creative ways to get active
Singing can be good for us! It helps to lower stress, boosts immunity and helps memory but most importantly enjoying music is open to everyone and it is FUN!
Thank you for your interest in attending our Singing and Drumming day with Bruce Ncube a partnership event with York Racial Inequality Network.
What you need to know:
Our events are suitable for families, this event is open to all ages. If you would like to bring a child younger than 5 years please could you ensure that you let us know via email at rrowan@wea.org.uk.
What to bring – Water, picnic lunch, loose clothing and bags of enthusiasm!
What you will learn – We will be singing in the morning and drumming in the afternoon. If you are staying all day please make sure you book both events. There will be twenty drums to use, so one per family. We will move around so that everyone has the opportunity to learn new rhythms.
Please note that we will be using the services of a videographer to record our day. If you do not wish to be featured let us know at the time.
In order to demonstrate that our project is working we do ask you to complete some surveys for our funder Sport England. You can receive these in an online format or paper format.
