Logistics in the RAF

Working in Logistics, you will be responsible for managing, organising and executing key tasks that keep the Royal Air Force moving.

RAF Logistics are key to the success of every mission. You will manage RAF assets and organise their national and global distribution by road, air and sea.

Whether using computerised techniques or storage equipment handling, no two days will be the same. You will help keep the RAF running smoothly by ensuring personnel, equipment and commodities are in the right place at the right time.

There is a whole host of opportunities to choose from in RAF Logistics. You could become a Supply, Storage and Distribution Specialist, managing the movement of equipment. You’ll become a key element within the RAF. Or why not become an RAF Mover? Planning and executing the movement of RAF assets by road, rail, air and sea. From operating complex IT systems to working in a port where shipments of cargo and explosives are handled, there will never be a dull moment.

If driving sounds more like your thing, then you could become an RAF Driver. You’ll operate many vehicle types, ensuring that RAF personnel, equipment and commodities are in the right place at the right time. Working on differing terrain throughout the world. Or would you be better suited as a Logistics Officer? Responsible for overseeing a large team of service and civilian logistics personnel. Managing elements of the whole RAF supply chain.
