Eaf Will Lead Public Guided Tours Of Tilbury Bridge Walkway Of Memories An Immersive Visual Art Installation Adorning One Of The Bridges That Passengers Of The Empire Windrush First Walked Across As They Entered Britain In 1948. The Artwork Is The First Site-specific Art And Sound Created By Artist Evewright, Held At The Port Of Tilbury In Essex Dedicated To People Of The Windrush Generation.

Tilbury Port will also be hosting a range of community activities from live performances to workshops and displays. Tilbury on the Thames Trust will be taking 220 Invited guests down the River Thames to the Port of Tilbury on a Thames Clipper boat that will dock where the Empire Windrush ship came in on 22 June 1948 to join the celebrations before getting back on the boat for the return trip back up the river to London.

The site is accessible by Car, Bus, Ferry & train. The nearest train station: Tilbury Town.

Monday – Friday.   10am-4pm

Saturday- Sunday 10am-6pm

Special opening on Windrush Day 22 June 9.30am-6pm. Booking registration opens in May for guided tours.
