Filmmaker Sandi Hudson-Francis invites us on a journey to explore the life of a Windrush Generation immigrant.
Filmmaker Sandi Hudson-Francis invites us on a journey to explore the life of a Windrush Generation immigrant through her intimate portrait of 92 year old Clovis Salmon, who left Jamaica in 1945 to work on sugar plantations in America before settling in Brixton in 1954 where he purchased a Super 8 film Camera and began documenting life around him. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Sandi Hudson Francis about her work with Clovis Salmon and the partnership with 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning to preserve Sam’s important legacy.
