We often see brilliant Black individuals making waves in their industries, but where does this start? We’ve brought together three Black panellists tp speak on the trials and successes of side hustling, how to manage wellbeing, how to triumph, make a difference and leave a legacy.

 

Speakers include:

Janelle Mitchell: Janelle started off as a DJ in 2017, and now finds herself supporting artists from Kojey Radical to Little Simz, whilst also guest mixing for BBC 1Xtra, KISS FM and Capital XTRA and DJing at festivals, from Stormzy’s Merky Festival in Ibiza to Strawberries & Creem Festival. Mitchell also works as an Artist Relations Manager at Believe. Janelle is also the fifth recipient of the Richard Antwi Scholarship.

Swarzy Macaly: Swarzy is a London-based TV and radio broadcaster. She presents BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show every Saturday morning from 7-10am. She is the founder of Too Much Source, an annual exhibition with live events dedicated to celebrating Black British creatives who are making history today.

Raymond Tannor: Award Winning Audio Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the digital industry. Skilled in producing, editing and researching, founder of Peace of No Mind, a podcast in which he frequently uses empathy to bring the most nuanced points from guests. The podcast aims to increase the nurturing of your mind.
