Raising Awareness around the Hate Crime Associated with Sexuality

Sat 7 October 2017 16:00 – 18:00

An evening of live talk set out as a radio chat show, with members from the African LGBTQIA Family. Members of this group have decided that they wish to take part in order to raise the awareness around what exactly is LGBTQIA and more importantly to the fact that this community exist within the African communities. They want to be included, loved and not hated for being who they are.
We, the Nigerian Women’s Group have taken on this project to challenge some of our own personal, conscious or uncnscious bias as women and as African women.
We believe we live in a world which should be free of hate, and love for all. Therefore we begin with ourselves.
Come along to this live debate, which will be recorded by Radio Africana (www.radioafricana.com) and hear the views of the African Rainbow Family and those of others, ask questions, take part. In all we want it to be educational, awareness raising and most of all comfortable, safe and fun.
There will be light refreshments provided.
